Finally all mechs in TTGL are capable of self healing in combat due to the aforementioned spiral energy. Additionally, the gurren lagann mech can absorb other machine's powers (flying, the sunglasses, etc) so theoretically it can adapt and overcome any obstacle facing it. So in the event that one of their mechs is overpowered, the pilot should produce a power output necessary to attain victory. Team Dai-Gurren does not suffer from this power limit ceiling as their mechs are powered by spiral energy/manliness/force of will/ability to scream louder. 2 can utterly stomp anything by the end of the show due to increased power output when compared to other machines (yes the pilots were both exceptional, but the show is pretty consistent on more powerful suit = win, for one on one duels) The black knights mechs abide by the laws of physics as we know them (basically) and will have a maximum power output. The basis for each teams powers is completely different.
